I miss Michael Jackson. Aside from all the crap he's been through, he was the first singer (because I refuse to call them "artist") I actually like. Can you believe it? All 22 years of my life I have loved his voice/dancing. The man was a legend and the world seems a little darker now. Farewell Michael! Your music and soul will live on for all time.

School

I'm currently enrolled in summer school (because I like education and not a melting brain). I'm taking a PE class (Cycling) and Cultural Anthropology (I love studying other cultures). Monday - Thursday. Lucky me though because we get this Thursday off. I don't know why. We just do. I guess to give teachers and students a 4-day weekend (no one works on Friday anyway). Whatever. I'm not complaining.

My PE class... Oh man! The first day I figured we would just get an intro to the class. NOOOO! We actually have to work out that day. I wasn't dressed appropriately for starters, and the teacher didn't even have us stretch out first! I nearly fainted and freaked out my other classmates. I've fainted before (I mean actual pass out) in high school, and when I came to I saw all my friends hovering over me asking if I was okay and I didn't know WHAT happened! I hate that feeling. To top it off, my legs were dead. I couldn't walk. My vision was near black, my legs were unable to hold me up, my breathing was troubled... it was a bad first day. Now though, my leg muscles have nearly healed (started on Monday and it took a week for them to heal! Ridiculous!), I'm able to keep up with my instructor and actually survive the high cardio workout. I can even exercise "on my toes" as he puts it. For those who don't know (who are actually reading this), that's when you stand on the pedals of the stationary bike and... pedal. So, I'm happy now that I can do that without any problem.

My Anthro class is pretty cool. The teacher seems to think I'm a close-minded, ethnocentric (means "my ethnicity is better than yours"), idiot. But then again, he thinks that way about all the other students in the class too. He's a really cool guy, very funny. He shows us videos and I'm amazed at how many students cringe and scream in disgust. I just sit there with no problem. Video shows an African male in a tribe going through the scarification process, fine. I'm good. I totally accept that. That particular group worships a different God other than Christ God. Fine by me. I won't judge. I'm a child of all religions and our Mother Earth. Specific ethnicity eating dog brains in a soup... being a dog owner, it's a little sad, but it might be tasty. I can take it! I'm cool like that! My classmates, however, make it KNOWN that they don't approve of that.

Here's a little anthropology question: How many races are there in the world?........................... Only one. The human race. Race is not judged by skin color or the region you grew up in. ETHNICITY is your origin. My race is human. My ETHNICITY is Mexican/European/Canadian (very small part)/American. There is no biological difference between me and someone of Chinese or African ancestry.
To all my viewers, please spread this little info around. If someone asks you about your race, say you're human. It's the correct answer.

Where AM I?

I'm still working on the Gar Cooper comic but after much debate with myself, I'll be drawing it on the computer instead of paper first (like I did with the 1st page), and I've decided on color (it's too boring grey). It's easier, a little faster, and saves trees. I'm a green person, so there. Lately though, I've been trying to figure out the layout and backgrounds of the pages so please be patient.

I have been doodling myself and other friends of mine dressed as our favorite characters. Disney, Dreamworks, haven't done Pixar yet (kind of don't want to). Maybe I'll post them. Definitely the ones of me, but I'm not sure about my friends. They'll never know, but still.

My family's been going through some medical problems right now. Grandfather with SERIOUS cancer, mom with treatable cancer, one aunt who excessively bleeds and has trouble clotting (I forgot the term), another aunt with possible breast cancer, insane migraines for me (I really should see a doctor about that). My family has survived the cancer ordeal before, so that's no problem. I'm the only one who knows about my aunts' problems. As for me, I've had pounding headaches since 5th grade. It concerns me a little because it feels like pressure on my brain, and I know my grandmother (mother's side) died of that. It wasn't a tumor, it was something else. I don't know what.

Anyway, WOW!! This is most likely my longest journal! Okay, I really need to study for my test now. lol Okay, later all!!
